From sludge to sunburn: it can only be Glastonbury 2011 -1st July 2011 Last weekend a staggering 170,000 people descended on Glastonbury for the annual festival celebrating contemporary performance from a hugely diverse set of genres. It saw yet another bumper set of Blackstar endorsees performing including: Boz Boorer with Morrissey, Jessie J (Lewis Allen), Jamie Woon, Viva Brother and a surprise performance from Artisan 15 users Pulp. Thanks Jarvis! There are certainly very few festivals around like Glastonbury and it was fantastic to be a part of it in 2011. There’s no festival next year giving the site plenty of time to recover after this year’s mudfest, so here’s to a sunny Glastonbury 2013.
Hellfest in France becomes Blackstarfest! -24th June 2011 This weekend saw the small town of Clisson, North-West France taken over by 30,000 metallers for a weekend of heavy music and heavy drinking. Hellfest hosted some of Blackstar’s top endorsees including, Your Demise, Iggy and the Stooges, Architects, Opeth, Cradle of Filth and Gus G, who performed with both Firewind and Ozzy Osbourne. All four stages saw Blackstar users performing over the weekend of metal mayhem. With only a bit of rain but lots of fine beer on tap this is a festival we won’t be missing next year! If you have any photos from Hellfest please send them to and we’ll get them on twitter!

HT1R Review from Premier Guitar -9th June 2011 Our HT-1R combo has received yet another great review, this time from Premier Guitar magazine in the US who describes our lovely 1watter as a “Pint-sized Powerplant”. The HT-1 range is perfect for recording in the studio or at home and is idea for those late night shreds either at low volumes or through headphones. The HT-1R recently won a coveted MIPA award for Best Guitar Combo beating two very established and prestigious amp brands nominated in the same category. Not bad for the new kid on the block.
